Paula S. Gilbert, LMHC

Seriously, what feels worse than when your relationship is not working? When you’re not speaking to each other? When you’re angry, sad, resentful? And how frustrating is it when you have no idea what to do or whom to talk to about it.

Basically, your parents’ marriage and perhaps divorce, and your childhood experiences taught you what you know today. Without the update of a psychologically sound relationship education, you really don’t know how to operate this thing!

As a late in life child to middle-aged parents (my brother had the 20-something-year-old version) in business together, I started studying Couples 101 at a very early age. I followed up with a formal education.

I would love to help both of you improve your relationship with yourself and with each other, especially if you have children or are considering a family. A happy home life can be a springboard to all you hope to accomplish at home and in your career contribution.

Even if you ultimately decide to separate, you may want to do so without delivering a whole lot of damage to yourselves and your kids. My goal is to help you live a better life in whatever format or configuration you choose, keeping the big picture in mind. You will learn skills to help in all your relationships.
